A celadon-glazed bottle. Korea. Late Goryeo/early Joseon dynasty, 14/15th century

Pear-shaped bottle of yuhuchun-shape with a distorted trumpet-shaped neck. Finely crackled green celadon glaze with partly inlaid slip decoration. A surrounding band of leaves on the neck, stylised plum blossoms on the belly, a lotus leaf border above the foot. The base dented during firing with two adhering supports. Mouth restored. Wooden box.
