A Tibetan silver figurine of Tsongkhapa. 19th century

Sitting on a finely modelled double lotus pedestal in padmasana, holding his hands at the chest in dharmachakramudra. On his head the characteristic pointed Gelug cap. Rising along his arms, two lotus blossoms at his shoulder, carrying khadga (flaming sword) and pustaka (book). Baseplate with stylised double vajra. Weight 71 g.
