A gilt and lacquered wood figure of Bodhisattva Guanyin. Late Qing dynasty

Sitting with one leg raised, both hands elegantly held in mudra, the undergarment held together with a knotted band at the chest, the shawl covering both shoulders and falling in numerous folds. The inside of the folds painted red, numerous black lacquer repairs. The back covered with brownish-black lacquer.
