A black lacquer suzuribako with Monju Bosatsu in takamakie and very little black and red lacquer on the lid, and dragon descending from clouds in takamakie on hirameji, a subdivision and a suzuri inside, in addition a silk cushion. Late 19th century. Restoration to the inner rim.
