A possibly Maharashtra copper alloy altar of Shiva, cast in three parts, the god with Parvati on his thigh and holding sword, trishula, damaru and a bowl in his hands, the figure group to be inserted onto the back of a caparisoned and saddled horse on a stepped plinth, and a prabha inserted at the back with a seven-headed naga. One of the god's eyes inlaid and gold-rimmed, one eye missing, as well as one ear of the horse. 19th century.
