A Tamil Nadu copper alloy figure of Vakyana Dakshinamurti with a third eye on his forehead, seated with the left foot resting on the right thigh on a stylized mountain, the main hands in mudra, the upper hands holding shanka and an antilope, the hair piled high shaping a half circle, the conquered demon Raktabija beneath Shiva's right foot. 17th/19th century. Traces of a black lacquer patina.
