A German parcel gilt silver-mounted carved ivory tankard

The round foot and domed lid with bearded mascarons amid acanthus garlands. The curved handle with the head of a satyr and a further figure seated on the thumbrest. The cylindrical corpus carved throughout with shawm players and dancers at a bacchanalian procession. H 33 cm.
