A standing Portuguese man. Ivory. Mid-19th century

With a round, undulating hat with feather covering his curly hair, a tripartite beard, standing in a long, slightly flared coat. With his left hand he holds a long trumpet with a long, curved ribbon, the end of which he holds with his right hand. He wears high boots adorned with fur on the front. Ivory, finely carved and darkly accentuated. A nice, yellow-gold patina.
