With gilt metal mountings and later ebonised wood handle. Cylindrical vessel with original lid. Decorated with gilt quatrefoil cartouches surrounding finely painted "kauffahrtei" scenes. Unglazed base with blue crossed swords mark, 80. in gold, impressed 23. The handle restored, regilt. H 16 cm.
