A very fine Northern Thai bronze figure of Buddha Maravijaya. 15th century

Seated in meditation on a lotus base with finely rendered petals and stamen, the right hand in bhumisparsa mudra, the left hand in dhyana mudra above the feet. The face with full lips and fleshy nose, the head and ushnisha covered by large snail-like curls, the ushinisha surmounted by a jewel. With a shiny blackish patina with malachite green areas.
