A bronze lid of a food vessel of gui type. Western Zhou dynasty (11th century-771 BC)

With horizontal grooves and a band of stylised dragons and two taotie, the "handle" in shape of a iuoturned footed bowl. Inside inscription reaiding zi zi sun yong bao yong (may sons and grandsons make eternal and precious use of it). Black and greenish patina. A small hole to the base.
