A two-part bronze food vesssel (xian or yan). Western Zhou dynasty (11th century-771 BC)

In two parts; the conical basin with a pierced bottom, an everted lip and two vertical handles is decorated with a band of intertwined dragons (panchi) and is set onto a bulbous tripod with two diagonally set handles. The basin with an inscription to the inside. Patina reworked and restoration beneath one of the handles of the basin. (2)
