A simple Renaissance mortar with mouldings

Cast bronze with dark brown, slightly porous patina. Of tapering form and slightly protruding base and flared rim. Decorated with several thick bands of moulding. The knob handles with lion's head mascarons. H 13.5, D 16.3 cm. Weight c. 3.2 kg.
