A mortar from a home apothecary

Cast bronze with dark brown patina. Both sides decorated with a putto holding a shield with a family coat of arms. Two small scroll handles. Significant wear to the décor. H 10.5, D 13.4 cm. Weight c. 2.2 kg. Includes a later pestle.
