A blackwood kiseruzutsu. Late 19th century

Of musô-zutsu type, displaying a hechima gourd, large leaves, two flowers and dew droplets rendered in high relief and with carved metal inlays of a silvery metal (possibly rôgin), shibuichi, sentoku and a little gold. Signed Kaitô on an inlaid golden tablet. The rim lining of silver, replaced and without eyelet.
