A 22k gold amulet necklace

22 kt Gelbgold. The pendant designed as an oval disc with a fixed bail richly decorated with relief appliqués in archaeological revival style. The front face decorated with geometric granulation and swirl rosette borders, centrally set with a dark carnelian. The reverse decorated with a filigree palmette frieze and braided borders. Suspended from a corresponding braided gold wire chain with a hook and eye clasp. A minor dent to the edge, slight abrasion to the pearl surround. 5.5 x 4 cm. Weight 31.44 g.
