A Renaissance mortar with a house mark

Yellow gold cast bronze with natural patina. With a thick, moulded and gadrooned base and slightly flaring rim. Two angular, octagonally faceted handles. With a central engraved “house mark”. The base slightly rounded due to use, minor dents around the rim and to the interior, engraved I I I I I to the base. H 15.5, D 18.3 cm, weight c. 4.9 kg.
