A mortar dated 1589

Golden brown cast bronze with honey brown patina. Decorated with several bands of moulding and a central banderole inscribed in Latin capital letters: “HER DOMEN IVNG 1589”. With two small bun form handles. Minor dents throughout. H 11.2, D 13.6 cm, weight c. 2.7 kg. Includes a corresponding T-shaped pestle. L 16.7 cm.
