A Thangka of Padmasambhava in Pure Land Copper Coloured Mountain. Tibet, 18th/19th century

The Lotus-Born Guru enthroned at the center within a palace setting atop the Copper Mountain emerging from the ocean, with his right hand in vitarka mudra, holding a golden vajra, and his left hand resting in his lap, supporting a skull cup, surrounded by wrathful figures, deities, Nyingma lineage masters, various monks, protective deities and dakinis.
