A Sneek silver gilt teapot

Compressed bun-form vessel with scroll handle and ivory isolation rings. The spout designed as a female herm. The lower surface gadrooned, the upper with repoussé lambrequins. The domed lid with corresponding decor and baluster-form finial. The front of the spout engraved with a small crowned monogram "GC" beneath a British baronial crown. H 14 cm, weight 430 g.
