A gold lacquer lidded box. 19th century

In the form of two overlapping stylised plum blossoms. In gold takamakie and hiramakie on the lid a poetess on a veranda, probably Murasaki Shikibu in Ishiyama, and a court fan with a chrysanthemum branch on top, on the sides various paper formats (shikishi, tanzaku and senmen) filled with small depictions and lines of poetry, all on kinji. Small rest.
