A 14k gold half pearl and carbuncle cabochon cluster ring.

Slender moulded band with fleur-de-lys motifs at the shoulders flanking an oval bezel set with a large garnet cabochon (c. 13.76 x 9.78 mm) surrounded by 16 demi-pearls (diameter c. 2.2 mm). Hallmarks: Fineness 585 (later), old and indistinct mark. Ring band extended. Bezel 2.1 x 1.6 cm. Ring size 58. Weight 8.66 g.
Probably Austria, second half 19th C.
