A Ratanakosin gilded and lacquered bronze figure of Buddha Shakyamuni. Thailand. 19th century

Seated in meditation on a very low pedestal, the right hand in bhumisparshamudra, the left hand in dhyanamudra in his lap, spiky curls cover the head and ushnisha, the tightly fitting robes decorated with rosettes. Ketumala missing.
