A Tibetan fire-gilt bronze of Bodhisattva Maitreya. 15th/16th century

The future Buddha seated on a double-lotus base, his hands held in dharmachakramudra, two leafy stalks of flowers rising from the lotus base along his arms. A small kundika sits on top of the bloom to his left. The hairdo is hidden by a large crown and falls down along his back in a long braid. Base sealed.
Height 15.8 cm
