A Hirado sake ewer in shape of Hotei. Meiji period

With a tied-up bag slung over his shoulder, in his right hand a stiff fan that serves as a lid, with his left hand he supports the end of the bag, which serves as a spout. The robe in underglaze blue, the bag in two different shades of brown. To the underside in brown the large character "tera" (temple) and paper label with the printed hiragana characters "sasaki". Lid and mouth rim chipped.
