A boxwood netsuke of a reclining shishi. Late 18th century

The large paws placed wide apart, the head turned to the left, the mouth wide open, the hair of mane and tail ending in curly spirals, the hair tufts to the body in fine engraving.
Height 2.7 cm; length 5.9 cm
