An ivory netsuke of a caparisoned shishi on a cushion. Mid-19th century

Reclining on a flat round cushion, the head turned to the right, the cloth on the back, ornamental girdles and rim of the cushion inlaid with small corals, metal and green glass stones. On the reverse the cord channel runs underneath the flywhisk. A few inlays missing.
Height 2.8 cm; diameter 5.1 cm
