A boxwood netsuke of a group of shells by Sari. Early 19th century

Five small corbicula bi-valves (shijimi) with deeply incised concentric ribbing and ends accentuated with applied gesso (gofun) to simulate erosion are arranged into a compact shape. Signed Sari in an oval reserve. Somewhat worn and old chips.
