An embroidered satin panel. 18/19th century

Consisting of four panels of a dragon robe sewn together, with two panels each showing a rounded dragon en face at the top and running dragons below, all amidst clouds and emblems and above lishui. Embroidered in faded colours in satin stitch and knotted stitch, the dragons of couched paper threads wrapped in gold. Surrounded by a sanlan border. Backed with cotton. Numerous worn areas.
