Bohemia or St. Petersburg glassworks, after 1741.

Elizabeth Petrovna (1709 - 61), the daughter of Peter and Great and later Tsarina Catherine I, became Empress of Russia in 1741. The English merchant William Elmsel founded the St. Petersburg glassworks on the banks of the river Fontanka in the mid-1730s. The workshop produced glass table wares, primarily for the Russian imperial court.
