A small Gothic single-handled mortar

Cast bronze with polished chocolate brown patina. Of tapering form with slightly flaring rim and base and slightly protruding lip. Resting on four bracket feet from which issue one shorter and three longer vertical ribs. With an angular, faceted handle. Some abrasion, verdigris and two small holes to the inside, minor dents. H 13.4, D 13.3 cm, 2.5 kg. Includes a corresponding T-shaped pestle. L 23 cm.
