A Gothic single-handled mortar

Golden brown cast bronze with brown patina. Of tapering form resting on six paw feet from which issue one shorter and five longer vertical ribs. With slightly flaring rim and an angular, faceted handle The base and lower body slightly rounded due to use, of oval section, minor cracks and dents. H 16, D 15 cm, weight c. 2 kg. Includes a corresponding T-shaped pestle. L 24.6 cm.
