An Italian mortar with hunting motifs

Porous cast bronze with dark brown patina. Bell-shaped mortar decorated with three scenes of hunters in a woodland landscape. Some casting faults, especially to the interior. The interior also with some holes, verdigris and remnants of pigment. H 9, D 12 cm, includes pestle, weight with pestle c. 1.6 kg.
